Post 16/18 Options

Students receive excellent advice and guidance on potential careers through the Tutor programme, assemblies, career events, individual support and mentoring by members of the Post 16 team, as well as having access to the Next Steps Adviser. Exceptional support is given with UCAS statements, applications for apprenticeships or other employment. A range of occupational talks is delivered to students by the Next Steps Adviser for those interested in pursuing careers in areas including medicine, criminology and accountancy. Excellent use is made of Unifrog, the award-winning online platform which helps students make intelligent choices about their futures. Further information can be found under the Unifrog sub-page here.

Whether your child decides to stay on at sixth form, go to college, attend university, embark on full time employment or complete an apprenticeship, we as a school will ensure your child has access to all pathways available to them.

College Open Days - 2024-25

Despite the wide range of Post 16 courses on offer at Cheam High School, we are aware that some students are interested in going to college at the end of Year 11. If college is a possibility for your child, a good starting point is to attend college Open Events. Each college has its own identity and the courses they offer vary considerably. We would advise all parents/carers to visit all local colleges as this will help you make the most informed decision for your child.
