ENQUIRY ABOUT RESULTS - SUMMER 2024 EXAMINATIONS
Some candidates may feel that they wish to look further into their performance in these examinations and are willing to pay for an enquiry to be made.
A clerical re-check of a marked paper will make sure that:
- all the pages are marked
- all the marks are counted
- the result matches the marks on the paper.
Your grade can go down as well as up.
If you request a review of marking:
- it includes a clerical re-check
- a second examiner will review the paper/recording again to identify genuine marking errors or unreasonable marking
- all the marks are counted.
Your grade can go down as well as up. A review is the standard speed service for any student.

Make a request
You can only request a review of marking for a paper once.
- Complete the student written consent form (click here)
- Make Payment online via ParentPay: on Examination Fees line enter the total amount to pay, add to basket and proceed to checkout. Please select other payment method, not set-up one click payment, input your payment details, review your payment and submit your payment. Choosing one click payment will delay the processing of your request until the monies are received in the school bank account.
How long it takes
- up to 15 calendar days for a priority review of marking
- up to 20 calendar days for a review of marking
What happens next?
We will email you with the outcome of your review once available.
The Exams Office will be open Friday 16th August to the beginning of term from 9.00am – 12.00noon ONLY to accept requests.
