ENQUIRY ABOUT RESULTS - SUMMER 2026 EXAMINATIONS

Some candidates may feel that they wish to look further into their performance in these examinations and are willing to pay for an enquiry to be made.

A clerical re-check of a marked paper will make sure that:

  • all the pages are marked
  • all the marks are counted
  • the result matches the marks on the paper.

Your grade can go down as well as up.

If you request a review of marking:

  • it includes a clerical re-check
  • a second examiner will review the paper/recording again to identify genuine marking errors or unreasonable marking
  • all the marks are counted.

Your grade can go down as well as up. A review is the standard speed service for any student.

How long it takes

  • up to 15 calendar days for a priority review of marking
  • up to 20 calendar days for a review of marking

What happens next?

We will email you with the outcome of your review once available.

What else can I do?

You can also request a copy of your marked paper(s) to see if you wish to go forward with a review.

Teachers can advise whether they think it’s worth getting a review or not.  If you would like copies of your paper(s) to take a look at/ask teachers to look at, there is an administrative fee of £5 per paper.  Should you decide to progress with a review, the £5 fee will be deducted from the cost of your review.   Requests must be made before 2nd September.

However, if you’re waiting on a university place, UCAS recommends that you go straight to a priority review as detailed above as teachers are not available to look at scripts before 7th September.

  1. Complete the marked paper request form here.
  2. Make Payment directly into our bank account (student name MUST be quoted as a reference) using the following details:

Account Name:         Cheam Academies Network
