YEAR 9 - CHEAM v GREENSHAW

It was a very close game. Cheam took the lead 2-1 in the first third. Both teams were strong and demonstrated some excellent play. Evalyn and Chloe worked together in defence to keep pressure on Greenshaw’s keepers.

Greenshaw won the second third. However, for the final third Alice and Emily kept their cool under pressure and scored some excellent shots meaning that Cheam won 6-5. It was a really tight game but a well-deserved win by the girls. Well done!

The player of the match nominated by Greenshaw was Roxy.

YEAR 10 - CHEAM v GREENSHAW

Greenshaw took an early lead and it was very fast paced game. However the girls remained calm and then scored three goals in the second third with Darcie scoring right inside the circle. The centre court players, Leila, Isla and Maddie all worked together to create space and get the ball up to the shooters.

In the final quarter the girls in defence worked really hard to apply pressure and both teams scored three goals. However, the final score was 9-5 to Greenshaw. I know the girls were really disappointed but they did play so well as team and it was unlucky on the day.

The player of the match was Paula.
