The Year 7 girls’ athletics team recently competed at the regional finals of the London Youth Games.

The event took place on Friday 6th February at Westcroft Leisure Centre. Many schools participated from across the South of London and it is with great pride that we announce that Cheam came 3rd and therefore have qualified for the overall London Youth Games Sportshall Athletics Finals 2026. This is an outstanding achievement!

The girls performed brilliantly and won 6/8 of their track events. They were an absolute credit to the school both in their behaviour and overall attitude to the event. The finals will be held at Redbridge Sports Centre on Tuesday 17th March. We wait to see how they get on!
