After school on Tuesday 5th December, Cheam High took a group of 12 boys (six from Year 7 and six from Year 8) to Sutton Grammar to take part in the Sutton Borough Indoor Athletics competition. It was a really enjoyable, competitive but fun event for the boys and they represented the school impeccably. 

The boys took part in individual runs and relay races, as well as throwing and a mixture of jumping events. The Year 8 boys came in 4th place overall, with some excellent performances throughout. The Year 7 boys came joint 1st after an amazing team performance, tying with the hosts, Sutton Grammar.

We now wait to see if the Year 7 boys will advance to the South London regional heats, taking place in February.
