Tideway Trip

A few students from Year 8-10 went on a trip to the Thames Tideway Central construction site in Battersea to find out what kind of construction has been taking place and how engineers are involved in construction.
Students learned in depth knowledge of the new London 'Super Sewer' the Thames Tideway Tunnel, and how it has been planned to protect the River Thames from pollution.
Team building exercises also took place - students were tasked with planning a water park and building a rope bridge. The trip ended with each team a presenting their waterpark plan. Both groups demonstrated great ideas.
Students found the trip informative and inspiring to learn about projects like this which impact their day to day and their future. We had a great day!
