A lucky group of Year 7 and 8 students got the chance to visit the Physics Department in Cambridge University last week, to experience a little bit of student life.

They spent some time doing a practical in the huge undergraduate laboratory and then got down to some physics calculations in the student lecture theatre. The practical activity involved investigating how strawberry laces and apple rings behaved when weights were applied.

All the students represented Cheam brilliantly with their behaviour, enthusiasm and the hard work they put into the maths session. It was a long journey to get there, but we definitely enjoyed the comfort of the air conditioning in the coach!
