The mock election candidates took part in a hustings event during lunchtime on Monday 1st July. The event was hosted by Gabriella in Year 8 and she asked lots of demanding questions of the candidates, including how they would help with the cost of living crisis, improve the NHS and reduce poverty.

Lots of students across all Year Groups turned up to watch and enjoyed the event.

All Year Groups have recently had an assembly about how the voting system works and took part in a vote during registration this Thursday. We hope it will be the first of many experiences participating in the democratic process.
