Dance Club at the London Youth Games

On Friday 28th June, the Key Stage 3 Dance Club travelled to the Copper Box in Stratford to compete for the London Borough of Sutton in the London Youth Games.

The girls gave an amazing performance and got many whoops and cheers for their tricks, unison and contact work. Some of the judges’ comments included ‘you looked stunning’ and ‘beautiful movements throughout’.

It was a tough competition against 16 other London Boroughs and by far our Key Stage 3s were the youngest there. I am incredibly proud of them all with their hard work, determination and effort they have put into making this performance an excellent and memorable dance.

The girls also got to take part in a workshop led by Rambert Dance School as well as watching a Rambert performance. There were various activities around the stadium for the girls to get involved in, such as cycling on a bike to blend a smoothie, having their face painted and an interactive basketball game.

The girls have had a fantastic year of competitions & performances and I look forward to what we can do next year. Well done girls.
