Duke of Edinburgh Done!

JULY 2024 – SURREY HILLS AND SOUTH DOWNS

Congratulations to the students across Years 9, 10 and 12 who have successfully completed their respective Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Award assessed expeditions. They all demonstrated high navigation, initiative, perseverance and teamwork skills, which was the culmination of months of preparation and hard work. The expeditions, which both took place in July, over the course of two days for the Bronze award in the scenic Surrey Hills, and three days the Silver award in the beautiful South Downs National Park.

Full details can be found here.

The Duke of Edinburgh Award continues to be a valuable programme for young people, encouraging them to step out of their comfort zones, develop new skills, and make lasting contributions to their communities. This latest achievement by our students is a testament to the programme's enduring impact and the bright future of its participants.

Duke of Edinburgh continues next academic year for Year 9s with the Bronze Award, Year 10s with the Silver Award and we are excited to re-introduce the Gold Award for Year 12s!
