Six of our Year 10 art students visited Kew Gardens on Tuesday, 10th September 2024. They explored the glasshouses, walked among the treetops and saw sculptures by the famous British contemporary artist, Marc Quinn.

Students used this as a chance to draw from life and explored the unusual shapes of a variety of rare and exotic plants. During the trip, they spent time sketching and will be using these in their sketchbooks and to inspire their own ideas for a sculpture. Overall, it was an invaluable and rewarding experience for the students.
