On Monday 3rd March, Ibrahim from Year 10 took part in the Jack Petchey 'Speak Out' final at Wallington High School for Girls.

Ibrahim had been the winner of the 'Speak Out' workshop at Cheam High and was chosen to represent the school at the Sutton regional finals.

This is a public speaking competition, where students deliver an original speech on a topic of their choice in 2 – 3 minutes. Ibrahim’s speech was on Bilingualism and the many benefits of speaking more than one language. The speech was very informative and well received.

Ibrahim represented the school very well and performed very well too, growing in confidence and experience of public speaking.
