King’s Trust University Trip

Our King’s Trust students had the opportunity to visit the Northeastern University and experience what university life was like.

We started our morning by having a brisk walk over London Bridge and took in all the sights. We arrived at Northeastern University and were greeted by our guide, Zoe, who showed us around the whole campus. Our students enjoyed seeing what a seminar was like and thought it was great that they had soundproofed rooms.

In the afternoon they had to come up with their own society and present it to the class. Freya, Kai, Louis and Sophia came up with The Friendship Society, which is a social group and helps people make friends. Molly and Chrissie came up with The Bridge Society, which is for students who have behavioural difficulties. They would be able to meet with each other and share coping techniques.

The day was a success and our students now know that University is within their reach.
