Cheam High Table Tennis

The Table Tennis season is nearing its end and it has been an incredibly successful one.

There are over 30 students currently taking part in coaching with Jag Patel on Tuesdays after school – a number of them have played in friendly competitions with local schools.

The U13 squad have done really well to come 3rd in a very high standard London South Schools league.

The U16 squad – who have trained every lunchtime all year, have had their enthusiasm and commitment pay off. Having previously won the plate title in the Team competition, they have now been crowned London South Schools League Champions in their first year competing at this level.  This is an outstanding achievement, having beaten off some well-established table tennis schools to become the best school team in the region.

To round it all off Yoyo C, Zita L and Luca P all recently qualified for the national schools individual championships.

We are currently in the middle of the school championships to decide who our own champions are at U13 and U16 level – these will be presented at our Sports Awards Evening on Thursday 10th July.
