The 2024 London Youth Games Table Tennis Competition took place on Saturday 15th June at Redbridge Sports Centre in Ilford, with 20 Girls' teams and 27 Boys' teams.

Sutton Borough had not participated in Table Tennis for a number of years. The Sutton Squad was formed in a very short space of time but showcased a great diversity of individuals from six different education institutions.

The Sutton Girls team including Yoyo C and Zita L remained unbeaten in Group D, beating their rivals including neighbouring Merton, to claim full available points to qualify for the next stage. Their winning streak continued both in the quarter and semi-finals, overcoming some very strong opponents to reach the Finals!

An unbeaten Enfield awaited them in the Finals. Sutton won the Doubles match 11-8, 11-5, giving Enfield their first defeat of the day in Doubles!

However, Enfield dug in and just managed to pip Sutton in the next two singles matches, which they took 11-9, 11-9 to claim the Gold! Nonetheless, a remarkable feat for the Sutton Girls team to take Silver at this year's London Youth Games on their first outing at the Games!
