Fantastic Frozen Finale!

On Wednesday 12th February, the cast of the whole school production completed their three day run of the musical Frozen Jr to a sold-out audience and special guest, Colin Sears, the Mayor of Sutton. The finale was truly spectacular and ended with a standing ovation from all in attendance – quite the opposite of a frosty response!

A whopping 76 students across Years 7-13 were involved in the production either starring on stage, making the backstage magic happen, playing in the live band or taking care of sound and lighting. Whilst Olaf melted the audience’s hearts, the lead characters stole the snow show with their ice-cold acting and singing skills. The ensemble brought the village of Arendelle to life and battled through some serious flurries of fake snow (as did large sections of the audience!) to ensure that the whole production was a truly thawsome spectacle!

Huge congratulations to the cast, crew and, of course, our exceptionally hardworking staff in the Performing Arts Department for such a successful production. A big thank you to all of the parents/carers, friends and families in the Cheam community for supporting our young people’s passion for the arts (and we are very sorry if you are still wiping fake snow out of your hair…!).
