Music Studio Trip
Posted: 9/05/25

On Wednesday 7th May, our Year 12 and 13 BTEC Level 3 Music Technology and Music Performance students visited the Music campus at Kingston University.
Led by lecturer Alex Evans, they toured the impressive Visconti Studio and explored the wide range of facilities available to music students. This visit offered a valuable insight into university-level music education, providing a real-world glimpse into professional studio environments and potential career pathways. It also allowed students to ask questions about course content, university life, and progression routes into the music industry.
Alex gave an engaging overview of the Music and Music Technology degrees offered at Kingston, highlighting opportunities for collaboration, practical studio work, and access to cutting-edge equipment. Students were particularly inspired by the professional environment of Visconti Studio, which brought to life many of the concepts they have studied in class. Experiencing a live studio setting helped contextualise their learning and sparked enthusiasm about pursuing possible further education in music.
