Year 7/8 Science Project
Posted: 15/05/25

This term, our KS3 Science students have been reaching for the stars!
As part of their fourth homework project of the year, Year 7 and 8 students researched and created impressive 3D models of the solar system.
Their work demonstrated fantastic creativity and curiosity, with many students going above and beyond to explore not only the order of the planets, but also features like the asteroid belt and the varying sizes and characteristics of each celestial body.
This project helped to reinforce important concepts from the science curriculum in a fun, hands-on way, bringing learning to life at home.
Looking ahead, students will complete their final homework project over the May half term. This time, they’ll be investigating the history of timekeeping by designing and decorating their own sundials - a great opportunity to reflect on the links between science, technology, and human history.
Well done to all our budding astronomers!
